We Are Standing Strong!

Non-Food workers continue to stand united at the bargaining table. Following on the heels of bargaining sessions in Longview and Portland, over 20 members of the bargaining team from around the jurisdiction converged in Coos Bay on August 24, 2010 to demand a fair contract for all non-food members in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

It came as no surprise when yet again the employer’s proposal fell short of making a real commitment to closing the wage gap between non-food and grocery/meat/CCK.

Your bargaining team is standing firm and we will continue to demand what you and your coworkers deserve: a living wage, affordable healthcare, and a secure retirement.
