    The Non-Food workers at The Dalles Fred Meyer voted overwhelmingly in November of 2007 to be represented by United Food & Commercial Workers Union, Local 555. Since that time Fred Meyer has refused to address key issues, such as; seniority, health care, and pensions.

    It is time for these hard working people to get a contract. This sections is devoted to keeping the membership, the non-food workers at The Dalles Fred Meyer, and the public informed about what is going on in Negotiations.

    The Eugene 2007 contract negotiations are over.  The Meat, Grocery, and CCK UFCW 555 members now have a new contract.  We would like to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication.  We could not have accomplished the things we did without the solidarity of the membership and the support of the community.

    We are keeping this section on the website so that people can look back and see the patterns of the employers when it comes to bargaining.  We are sure that they will attempt some of the same tactics in Portland and Bend.
