Showing Unity At The Bargaining Table

The United JLMRT Bargaining Committee met on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 with the employers to continue discussions on the open contracts. While no tentative agreements were made, the Union Committee felt really good about the session as a whole.

The Union Committee made a point to let management know that they were not interested in separating out new hires from people with more seniority. In addition, the Union Committee spent much time working on and talking about the apprentice wage brackets, indicating to management that the current structure is broken and it needs to be fixed.

Additional dates have been scheduled in July and August.
